* Acquire effective and practical Project Management Application skills thru FUN Board Games!

BACKGROUND

One of the biggest challenges for project managers or project management practitioners is to gain real-life experience in managing or working through the entire life-cycle of a project. Going through enough On-The-Job (OJT) project managing cycles is one of the critical areas for project management competencies development. However, the business and organization project assignments in the real world are not for “training” or “practicing” skills development. The project manager’s performance can often make or break the company’s business results. Thus, it is deemed necessary to have a project management “practice environment” or “training ground” to simulate a close to “real-life” project life-cycle management to close the experience gaps.

OBJECTIVES

The learning objectives include:

  • Practice the key concepts and main challenges of project life-cycle management
  • Acquire, polish, and further improve the project management skills
  • Narrow the Know-Do and Say-Do project managing gaps
  • Develop project goal-oriented thinking
  • Demonstrate game insights into real-life project dilemmas
  • Hands-on experience in project analysis and how to achieve project KPIs
  • Polishing the project strategic thinking and competing constraints trade-off
  • Deepen the appreciation of the project manager’s leadership, roles, and responsibilities
  • Strengthen bonds and improve communication skills through team-play
